With more than 30 years of training and development experience, Darrell Katz brings a unique prospective to Lake Forest Corporate Education [LFCE].
Using his background as an instructional designer and classroom facilitator, Darrell can link the specific needs of our clients with the design skills of our faculty to create training programs precisely aligned with the growth objectives of each individual learner. This process results in exceptional learning experiences which unlock the human capital potential already embedded within the client’s workforce.
Prior to joining LFCE, Darrell managed an independent consulting practice specializing in leadership development and management education programs. Among his clients were Kraft Foods, Walgreens, Georgia-Pacific, Brunswick, and the U.S. Federal Government.
Earlier in his career, Darrell held management positions at Tenneco Packaging, heading up their corporate training function and at Lockheed Martin Corporation directing production training.
Darrell has written numerous articles for publications serving the training industry and has contributed to books on process improvement and adult learning styles. At the beginning of his professional career, Darrell worked as a consultant for W.C. Brown Publishing, editing college text books.
Darrell currently serves on the Board of Directors of Technology for Humanity, a Chicago based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing computers and software to people who would not otherwise have access to these tools; thus giving them an opportunity to learn new skills and grow their careers.
A graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Darrell also earned two bachelor degrees from Indiana University, one in microbiology and the other in journalism.
