As a Production Assistant, Pat Appling performs a wide range of administrative duties, including assisting with the production of training materials and providing logistical and administrative support to the LFCE staff.
Prior to working at LFCE, Pat worked at Abbott Laboratories where she retired after 23 years. In her last position at Abbott, Pat worked as a Contract Analyst in Contract Marketing of the Diagnostic Division. There she reviewed the language in the proposals written by the sales representatives and analyzed the pricing structures for the hospitals proposals.
A tireless volunteer, Pat is active in the following organizations:
- American Heart Association
- Pediatric Aids Society of Chicago
- Happy Day Children’s Educational Center in Waukegan – where she serves on the Board of Directors
- Clara Abbott Foundation
- Shiloh Baptist Church in Waukegan – where she serves on the Board of Trustees
Pat has an Associate of Arts degree in Health Administration from College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL and also attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
