Howard Prager is a proven leader in business education with over 20 years experience in curriculum design, innovative learning solutions and business performance consulting. Howard is accomplished at developing strategies, processes and relationships that align with business purpose.
Howard holds an executive position as Director, Lake Forest Corporate Education [LFCE], a strategic business unit of Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Howard is responsible for the sales, design, delivery, and academic quality of LFCE programs, working closely with corporate universities and senior management of Fortune 500 organizations. Howard manages the ALLSTAR Customer Service/Account Manager Certificate program, winner of the 2001 ASTD Excellence in Practice Award with Quebecor World and also winner of the 2001 Optimas Award from Workforce Magazine.
Prior to LFCE, Howard was President of The Next Step – a training consulting firm – , helped create the Sales Training department at Waste Management Inc., and was a consultant in Corporate Development and Training with Allstate Insurance, working in the areas of management development, project management, and organizational and career development.
Howard won election from his peers to Chair the ASTD National Advisors for Chapters (NAC) was a member of the ASTD Board of Directors in 2003-2004. He is a Past President of the Chicagoland Chapter of ASTD, and currently serves on the CCASTD Board as Presidential Advisor.
Howard is a sought after speaker, presenting at many national and international conferences, including the 2001 Corporate University Week and International Listening Association conferences. He has presented at each ASTD International Conference from 1998 to 2002. Session topics included industry/education partnerships, consulting skills, manufacturing competencies for the 21st century, and sales and customer service performance.
Howard recently authored "Organizational Change Through Customer Service Training" in the ASTD Links e-zine as well as the Training and Development Journal article, "Cooking Up Effective Team Building," a team development simulation he created.
Howard holds an MBA from The University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA from Northwestern University.
